In 1996 VGF was on the starting-blocks. It had been hived off from the Stadtwerke Group, and as Hessen’s biggest transport company it was now set up as a GmbH or limited company. By now a large number of equity holdings are securing the VGF’s field of business and its reputation in the region: in bus transport VGF is no longer alone on the streets of Frankfurt but together with the private subsidiary company ICB . In addition to this it is interlocked with the Offenbach transport undertakings. “We are therefore perfectly equipped for the future,” says Michael Budig in justifying this commitment.
