S-units are Frankfurt’s youngest baby. A vehicle with state-of-the-art technology, it offers passengers the greatest possible comfort and convenience. A door width of 1.30 metres allows passengers to get on and off easily and keeps wheelchair users and parents with prams fully mobile. The motor units each have a mechanically folding ramp at the first door in the direction of travel for the benefit of wheelchair users. Hanging straps ensure a steady stance in the passenger compartment, and tactile yellow bars help those with weak eyesight to recognise the exits. The air-conditioning system ensures a pleasant temperature for travelling.
