Fares and tariff zones
The price for using the buses, trams and trains in the RMV region is based on the number of tariff zones through which you travel (see tariff zone plane below). This determines the price level. The other factors are the age of the passenger, the period of validity and certain times of day. Travel within Frankfurt (tariff zone 50) comes under price level 3.
