Surcharge tickets and surcharge season tickets

You need a “Zuschlagskarte” (Surcharge ticket) for all those services for which they are prescribed, such as travelling 1st Class on RMV trains and trams.

Surcharge tickets are available for adults and for children.

• They are available as a single surcharge for only one trip or as a supplementary surcharge ticket to a weekly, monthly or annual season ticket.
• If you only occasionally need a surcharge ticket on top of a season ticket, you can buy a single ticket for each trip.
• A surcharge ticket is available from any automatic ticket dispenser for only one trip as a single surcharge
• The surcharge season ticket is available from any of the VGF ticket offices.
