Service for passengers

Train or tram replacement taxi service

If underground trains or trams are unable to continue their journey due to, for example, an accident, incorrect parking or technical problems, VGF will organise taxis for passengers to continue their journey along the section of the route that is closed.

Passengers will be informed by our drivers about what is happening and directed toward the replacement taxi service . Information will be provided on the live passenger information displays at stops and stations, and there will also be announcements over the loudspeakers.

The taxis will have ‘VGF replacement taxi service’ signs. They’ll be waiting in a safe place next to the station or the stop – for example, by the side of the road or at the next bus stop. The taxis will shuttle passengers along the section of the route that is closed. You cannot ask the taxi to take you any further or go by a different route.

The taxi replacement service is free for all passengers with a valid RMV ticket.

In special circumstances and where diversions are planned in advance, VGF will provide a replacement bus service as it did previously.
