This free service is designed to help all those passengers who need practical assistance when travelling on public transport, particularly the elderly, those with reduced mobility (even temporarily) and all those who need support and help finding their way around when travelling by bus or train. The passenger escort service is a free offer of the VGF. You only pay for your ticket.
And this is how our service works:
Arrange your desired appointment by phone or online form as early as possible, if possible one week in advance.
The escort service will pick you up at the door of your apartment at the agreed time and, of course, accompany you home again if you wish.
The employees can be recognized by their VGF service uniform and their service card "Fahrgast-Begleitservice". There is a sign on the breast pocket and a patch on the back of the service jacket with the imprint "Service & Fahrgastbegleitung". A company ID card is carried by the staff and can be presented on request.

Wichtige Hinweise zur Auftragsdurchführung:
- Die Aufträge beginnen und enden an der Wohnungstür
- Die Fahrgastbegleitung darf keine Gegenstände aus Ihren Geldbörsen, Taschen, Koffern oder ähnlichen Transportmitteln für Sie herausholen
- Die Fahrgastbegleiter: innen übernehmen für Sie keine Bezahlvorgänge oder Bargeldabhebungen am Geldautomaten
- Dies gilt auch bei Behördengängen oder bei Bankgeschäften
- Die Begleitung von Rollstuhlfahrenden ist nur möglich, wenn Sie den Rollstuhl eigenständig bedienen können
- Eine Fahrgastbegleitung zum Einkaufen erfolgt nur im Rahmen einer ÖPNV-Fahrt. Die Kund:innen müssen in der Lage sein, den Einkauf selbst zu tätigen. Zur Beachtung: Unsere Fahrgastbegleiter:innen tragen keine Einkäufe
- Kleine Geschenke, Trinkgelder oder sonstigen Aufmerksamkeiten dürfen die Mitarbeitenden leider nicht annehmen. Sie freuen sich aber sehr über ein Lächeln oder ein freundliches Dankeschön.
- Der Begleitweg kann für einen kurzen Zwischenstopp (z.B.: Einlösung Rezept in Apotheke) genutzt werden
